Application principle of field effect tubes

Field effect tubes are divided into two main categories: junction type and insulated gate type. Junction-type field effect tube (JFET) because there are two PN junction and named, insulated gate type field effect tube (JGFET) is due to the gate and other electrodes complete insulation and named. Currently in the insulated gate type field effect tube, the most common application is MOS field effect tube, referred to as MOS tube (i.e. metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect tube MOSFET); in addition there are PMOS, NMOS and VMOS power field effect tube, as well as the recently introduced πMOS field effect tube, VMOS power module, etc.. FETs are divided into two categories: junction type and insulated gate type. Junction type FETs (JFETs) are named after the two PN junctions, while insulated gate type FETs (JGFETs) are named after the complete insulation of the gate from the other electrodes.
